Completed! The Woog's involvement was pretty minimal for this one than it usually is. Since her daddy was home she wanted to play with him a lot which worked out well for this piece since I did a lot of painted detail.

Happy 4th!! We're working on the base of Uncle Sam and doing this one a little different by using clay (she made the "snakes" for his hair and beard) and painting the body in gouache. We'll then junk it up from there. Check back later...

Yes, it's Wednesday! We might be dragging this project out for a few days since the Woog is going to play at a friend's house later this morning. In the spirit of Independence Day I think we'll do Uncle Sam. I thought about this last night while in bed so here's a sketch done about midnight last night with the only light coming from the tv (it's kind of obvious I couldn't see my paper very well!). In the meantime, check out what we did to celebrate the holiday last year.
